This is Our Story

Here at For the Love of Dandelions, we create all sorts of herbal goods and handcrafted soap. For more information on our interpretation of the CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) model, read through our FAQs.

For the Love of Dandelions was launched in 2013 by Marisa Harder-Chapman, who continues to act as the chief gardener, maker, researcher, web designer, accountant, shipper and more, with the much needed and appreciated help of her family.

Marisa has enjoyed gardening for as long as she can remember. She started paying more attention to wildcrafting plants and mushrooms when she went to school in the Pacific Northwest, where not a millimeter lacked something growing on it. She attended St. Catherine University to obtain her MA in Holistic Health, where she completed the herbology track as well as research on storytelling and childbirth education. Now, with each passing season, she stives to learn more about plants, incorporate more of them into the daily lives of her family and she looks forward to sharing what she’s found with others. Starting an herbal business has allowed her to combine her passions for gardening, plants, bio-diversity, holistic health, creating, life-long learning, and localism.

Would you like to buy your maple syrup in bulk and can it yourself (or plunk the whole thing in the freezer - extra tasty!)? Shoot me a message if you'd like a 5 gallon jug of your very own. $220 ($11/quart). As always, we have quarts for $15.

If you live in Isanti County, please complete this 10 minute survey about how you use the parks and trails within the county. This will help with the completion of the Isanti County Parks 2017 Bikeways and Trails Master Plan (good stuff!)

Botany/plant id is an option! 😉
